The state of the sac...

Philadelphia:
I have been here for nearly a year now and am slowly assimilating to life here. I love her more now than I have ever before and despite how much I miss Baltimore and everything else relating to it, I am finding a life here.

Fiancee:
She is amazing, and leaves me speechless in both good ways and bad. Wedding planning is about to jump back into full swing... less than 1 year from today I will be her Husband :)

Employment:
After looking for almost 6 months I have a job with a flooring company that works for HD... All of the BS from the last place I worked PLUS the HD BS... I like most of the people, but I think my days there are numbered.

Friends:
I am feeling very disconnected to my friends in Baltimore. 2 Hours of distance isn't all that much, but it is still far from close. Working on seeing those people more often to not become one of those friends. Online friends are a little better overall, but still feeling some disconnect. I am basically without friends here, I have made small strides but have found myself with out a common interest.

Family:
Things with my Mother are the same as they ever are, I just try to keep my head down and out of trouble. My Brother and Sister seem to be doing well and finding their adult feet under them.
As expected, really missing my father today... to say I am emotionally confused would be an understatement.
I have a house full of people and we are doing a thanksgiving-like meal.
Nothing like spending a Saturday evening with the family you choose!

I am actually cooking too, I am browning rolls and making Greenbean casserole...
But I added a secret ingredient... Bacon Salt! Let's see if they notice >.>
It Started as Friends...

Became something more for a while...

Now its just friends again.
Well tomorrow starts the stress, its my coworkers last day for at least 2 weeks, and I know that all hell is going to break loose on friday, like it always seems to when she is off/sick. But thats not the point of this...

Life is rather funny sometimes, bringing itself full circle in the oddest ways...

Confusion, enter at your own risk )

I think I have nattered on way too long,
The bare soul is under the cut if you want to read it.
tealsac: (Thinking)
Life has been interesting these past couple of months,
Highs, Lows, and everything in between.

My mouth builds such great things and digs such deep holes for me, I just wish I had better control over it sometimes, might help me from flying to high and falling too far...

Just over 2 weeks before I fly off to Phoenix for the KoL Con, I am beyond excited and scared, I just need to keep my wits about me so that I don't have a nervous repeat of Ohio last year, I don't think I could stomach that. Speaking of Ohio I am trying to redeem myself for last year's incident, and try to sneak in a romantic weekend with the wonderful lady. I got real lucky this time, yeah the jury is still out on rebound vs. future together, but its a fun ride either way.

Despite everything I do, I still find myself conflicted about friends, as much as I don't want to admit it, I am starting to miss Larp, mostly for the people, but it was an outlet for some of the crap I have bottled up inside. I think I am done with being totally antisocial for a while though, reconnect with the right people, and hang out once in a while.

The wedding last night was beautiful, I am so happy they found each other and have become so happy together, and more of the people it was nice to reconnect with and start the healing process of some of the stupid things I have done recently.

So, New Girlfriend (maybe), Faire Season is here (yay Pubsing), Good Travel, and seeing more of the people I know and love. AND Roommate with a new live-in girlfriend and a stable place to live.

OH! how could I have forgotten, Baltimore to Kuwait: Letter 6 days, 12lb care package 3 days.
Makes no sense to me either, but it got where it belongs and put a smile on the face of someone special.

Now its 3:30 am and I should be sleeping, but I am not tired enough to.

Saturday in Paradise )

One Tenacious Sunday )

Despite how early things ended last night, I was still awake and screwing around until after 3am... I love having weekends off, but they do not seem very restful.

A Final Aside,
#1 Congatulations to [livejournal.com profile] madjulyin and [livejournal.com profile] sooper on their Engagement.
#2 Happy Birthdays to the Folks I have missed over the last few weeks, I send you belated wishes of awesomeness.
#3 Finally I am going to be stepping away from the Fangy-Face World for a while, and I will admit I am really bad about keeping up with people sometimes, but know I still love all of you guys and I still hold you close to my heart.

OH! and today is my 8th day with-out a cigarette, Cold Turkey Sucks, but I am holding strong, and the nasty urges are starting to subside.
Alas, the Long Thanksgiving weekend is just about over.

Turkey Day )

Black Friday )

Saturday & Sunday )

Work Starts Back Up Tomorrow, and there are only 29 more Shopping Days until Christmas
The List: )

Origins was a very interesting time all in all,
The trip out other than the Radio malfunctions was fairly
uneventful and quick. The Double Tree Hotel was very nice.

The first day was relaxing the RP was light, the people were good and the
after party was awesome.

The second day is when the hell started, the con floor was interesting, it felt more at home than the floor @ Megacon. that night brought the damned conclave, thankfully
my Chargee wasn't all that interested so I spent most of the night either in the courtyard or the downstairs bar and not stuck in the room, more party, more drinking, and meeting up with more folks like the Florida Crew, and a couple of Coord types.

The last night is when the weird happened, more conclave, but the majority of the night was yet again spent in the bar where I found my new favorite special brew, Blue Moon, great with a slice of Orange, and the last party night with White Castle Burgers, oh so yummy, crazy scenes and very little sleep...

Now there is the Ride Home, we started at a decent time, had a small issue getting back onto 70, but all was good... until we got back in the mountains, [livejournal.com profile] niaha's car had some issues with the mountains but only caused one stop on the way out and that was nearly 2/3 the way through the trip. Coming back However was a VERY different story, by the time we crossed into WVa we had already stopped once and it was not working as well, so it was decided between the two cars that myself and Rojir would stay behind with Jess for the night.

Wild, Wonderful, Wheeling WVa )
So here I sit, many hundreds of Dollars poorer, after having one of the best and worst gaming weekends ever, looking forward to one more day off and then back to the Grind for atleast 8 days straight of work.

Overall Thanks to everyone for an interesting Trip, Hello to my new friends, Love for all my friends new and old, I will return next year, or come see me sooner... Nonclave is a little under 2 months away

OH! and the Few Pics I took that didn't totally suck are here:
http://pics.livejournal.com/tealsac/gallery/0000a6gf
I am sitting in [livejournal.com profile] angelfacegin13 and [livejournal.com profile] u_like_bukkake's New Apartment.
I spent most of the day cleaning up and working on the old townhouse. I am covered in sawdust, polyurethane, and cleaning products, but the house is mostly clean the rest of my crap is in my storage unit and the ugly living room hardwood has been sanded and has a first coat of poly on it. The floor looks freaking awesome, 99% of the nasty spots came out, and with the new coat of poly the wood of the floor shows some awesome "character" (read "the things that make wood look like wood ala grain, mineral marks, and different shades of planks"). So here I am, visting their new apartment hanging out with Aidan and Tristan whom I miss dearly, which is silly they are just animals, but after living with them for so long they are like family, just like Bren & Gin. I love my new roomamtes, and I am getting to love their cats, when they aren't eating the little one's food, or hissing and spitting at each other, but they are cats and that is what they do. Tomorrow brings the last bit of cleaning, and another coat of poly on the floor, buttoning up the last of the crap with the old house. I will miss it, and the good times, and cool people and the interesting get-togethers that were had there, but there will be a new place, with new cool memories soon enough. I should be rolling out of here soon enough and heading home to see my little one and catch some well deserved sleep.

Good Night to All.
And a wonderful day tomorrow, see everyone @ DC :)
Move 95% complete, me and the kitty have safely arrived at the home of [livejournal.com profile] avariael and her husband. It doesn't feel like home yet, but hopefully it will, they are good friends and I don't worry about having conflicts with them. It's funny, I miss [livejournal.com profile] angelfacegin13 and [livejournal.com profile] u_like_bukkake already as well as the dog and other cat, these folks live a far more normal life than what I an used to, there won't be that 3am knock on my door to go and have a cigarette, or no random shooting matches on the computers at all times of the day and night, things will be alot more quiet than I am used to, not that its a bad thing, in actuality its not really, even thought I have been living with an almost married/married couple for the last 18 months, its been closer to the bachelor lifestyle I was living in the bowie house all those years ago. I am sure things will work themselves out soon enough and it won't be an issue, and come June or July I will be moving out again hopfully with someone I know, but even if its alone it will be ok.

Game last night was a good time, had a great scene with [livejournal.com profile] madjulyin and an all around good night.

Tomorrow nights game will be interesting to say the least, we will have to see how things turn out.

That is enough for now, I really should give little ms casey some more loving and hit the sack so that I can be at work on time tomorrow.
Ok, so the day starts kind of Blah, I decide to crawl out of bed around noon-ish, and do the checking of the email, and head off to The Doctors. Yes I have Bronchitis Again; Yes I am on Meds Again, No biggie.

Go Pick up the meds and wander about the grocery store, shopping like a single man all the way, coming home with Hot Pockets, Cookies and Soda, no big deal and head home, where Ed Nabors sits, I hang with him for a bit until the roommates get home and a short while Later we are headed to Casa McCready to help with the unpacking, and Me being the crazy construction guy I am start "tearing apart" the floor and kitchen since those are what I know. Making these Huge Plans to Spend all of their Money O:)

We all headed back to the house and I ended up taking Kevin Lynch back to Essex, wow was it nice to get to see him even for the little bit and chat about the old Donaghuy days. Afterwards I made the side trip to my parents to drop off the rest of the $1500 and I made a horrible Realization... My Parents are getting old... really old, they are only 57, but I can't honestly say I would put money on either of them living out the next ten years as awful and morbid as that sounds... Then again, I am the family Worry-Wart, so I am always this way, I really want them both to live to see Great Grandkids, but Ill take Grandkids if I can, if they can wait that long… I just my kids to have a better memory of them then I do for either of my grandfathers, or the other grandmother (God Rest all their Weary Souls)

So I start heading home and finally get through to my Little Brother whom I was hoping to get to see for a few moments, as I haven't seen him since Christmas. He leaves me with quite the little gem... one of the girls he had been with in his past now has a 5 year old daughter, there was a possibility he was the father but, for one reason or another it was decided it was the other guy... anyways, said girl's new boyfriend has her pregnant and want to adopt her current child and the other daddy's paternity test came up negative, so now my brother is going down to take a paternity test... I am really torn, if this child is blood I want Joey to take responsibility for his child, my parents did a good number on me, but instilled two good things in me, the importance of blood, and the worth of being polite and generous. I know I can get Joey to do anything he doesn't want to do, but Damn, I don't want her to come searching for him later in life and hate him, and the rest of our family by proxy as well... and That dredged up a whole pile of inadequacy issues, but that’s another story

Oh Well, I have one more day of freedom and then Back to Work @ The Depot on Friday.

If anyone has something interesting for me to do tomorrow during the Day or at Night call the Cell, I should be able to answer, and will do anything short of traveling long out of state…

A Great Day to All…
Well I found the motivation to head up north to see the family, and it turned out to be worth the trip...

Had an interesting talk with my little sister, and she was finally straight with me and told me she wasn't a virgin anymore, while this in and of itself does not make me very happy, the fact that she finally trusts me enough to tell me.

Found out my mother has a line on a job WOOOOOT!!!!!!! I love my mom, I really do, but my parents have not been in the best of financial state for a few years now, its one of the many reasons I continued to live with them once I got my feet under me, I helped them pay some bills. A couple of Octobers back, My father had triple Bypass and my mom stopped working to help him out, which I am more than fine with, its what was needed, but after everything with him was cool again, she didn't start working again... and their money problems started getting worse a little at a time, I have had to give them money since moving out more times than I care to count, then she had a heart attack the following October, and once she was back up and running, she still didn't work, I quite honestly thought she would never work again. But tonight she gave me a Sanford Moment "It's the big one elizabeth, I'm coming!!" and I couldn't be happier

Dinner itself was good, standard fare, including the worlds best green bean casserole, but there was one thing missing.... no dinner rolls, unfortunately there was a little incident, the oven was not in the best of condition, and there was a bit of a grease fire, so needless to say there was quite alot of smoke in the house, and the rolls were lost to the extinguishing of the fire. But it was nice to spend the day with family, especially my aunt jeannie who moved home from LA earlier this year....

Speaking of My Aunt... to all of you techies out there, she is still in the search for a job, she was doing somekind of I T thing for a law firm, so if you know of anything out there, please let me know, thanks in advance.

After a quick stop by Bren's parents to give a little lovin to my adopted family of the south it was home to hang with the roomies, the animals, and Chris Klakring and his Girlfriend Laura, unfortunately he will not be making a stop at game due to spending some time with his family, maybe next time, but we watched "Land of the Dead" and it goes to show, there is the Master, and then there are others, not a fantastic flick, but better than most zombie movies.

So now its time for sleepy time and the great return to work tomorrow, just 8 days in a row to get a well deserved weekend off.

Ciao (Visions of Eddie Izzard on an Italian Scooter)
