ZOMG an Update!

Philadelphia:
I have been here for nearly a year now and am slowly assimilating to life here. I love her more now than I have ever before and despite how much I miss Baltimore and everything else relating to it, I am finding a life here.
Fiancee:
She is amazing, and leaves me speechless in both good ways and bad. Wedding planning is about to jump back into full swing... less than 1 year from today I will be her Husband :)
Employment:
After looking for almost 6 months I have a job with a flooring company that works for HD... All of the BS from the last place I worked PLUS the HD BS... I like most of the people, but I think my days there are numbered.
Friends:
I am feeling very disconnected to my friends in Baltimore. 2 Hours of distance isn't all that much, but it is still far from close. Working on seeing those people more often to not become one of those friends. Online friends are a little better overall, but still feeling some disconnect. I am basically without friends here, I have made small strides but have found myself with out a common interest.
Family:
Things with my Mother are the same as they ever are, I just try to keep my head down and out of trouble. My Brother and Sister seem to be doing well and finding their adult feet under them.
As expected, really missing my father today... to say I am emotionally confused would be an understatement.

My Father, My Heart
Sep. 11th, 2009 07:46 pmI am quickly packing up and heading back down to Baltimore.
I got a call from my mother. My father is dehydrated again and he just looks bad.
It is time to go and say goodbye to my father... I don't know how much longer he is going to hold on... but I know that soon enough he will be free of the pain...
There is part of me that is happy about that... but letting go is just so hard...
Please keep my father in your thoughts, and prayers if you are so inclined...

Father's Day and more...

In the last 12 months, I have seen the heights of joy and the lowest bottom of sorrow.
I buried a family member, nearly lost another... twice, and have gained a future family and member.
Looking back over my journal, it was almost a year to the day to my father's heart attack last year to his re-admittance to the hospital after his fall earlier this week.
( This is where I babble on and on to try to explain how I feel )
So here after far too much vamping, here is a picture of my father and his new buddy mack.
( A man and his stuffed animal )

First of all, Happy Holidays to all of my wonderful friends!
Second, I apologize now, I failed at holiday cards this year, but there is next year for sure.
Third, This has been the best Christmas I have had in a long time, people were happy and well all around, and drama was at a minimum... the only thing that makes me sad is that things were so lean for me that I wasn't able to get gifts for anyone.
Lastly, I love my Fiance dearly and I actually get to spend the weekend with her at my place.
Many wonderful wishes for the new year to all of you.

Nothing like spending a Saturday evening with the family you choose!
I am actually cooking too, I am browning rolls and making Greenbean casserole...
